Launched the site according to Duda with www.sitename.com, went into Cloudflare to redirect to sitename.com WITHOUT the www since that domain has all the history with Google, and it is causing the following error. I have never seen this before. I have followed this format with other domain registrars and never had an issue.

……………………………………………………………….

This page isn’t working

www.sitename.com redirected you too many times.

ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

……………………………………………………………….

Cloudflare told us to the following:
To redirect www to non-www through Cloudflare, you’ll need to set up a page rule do this,

  1. Visit the Cloudflare dashboard and select your domain.
  2. Click on the ‘Page Rules’ tab.
  3. Click on ‘Create Page Rule’.
  4. In the ‘If the URL matches’ field, input www.yourdomain.com/*
  5. Select ‘Forwarding URL’ under ‘Then the settings are’, and choose a 301 (Permanent Redirect) status.
  6. In the ‘Enter destination URL’ field, input . https://yourdomain.com/$1
  7. Click and Save Deploy Rule

So frustrating.

    Hi @pfaulk,

I checked with the team and I don't believe trying to redirect without the "www" is needed. You can assign a domain to your site without "www", the only limitation in the Duda platform is that "www" will be included in the sitemap. Using Cloudflare will not fix this.

When assigning a base domain only, you just want to be sure to not add the CNAME in the DNS records.

I hope this helps clarify! 🙏
