ZOOM OUT bug

Everytime I make any changes to the ALL POSTS or RECENT POST settings on my website, the photo reverts to ZOOM OUT and I have to manually change it back to NONE. When I am working on a site with 50+ pages, this becomes and incredible waste of time and literally annoys the bejesus out of me. I cannot figure out how to turn it to default at NONE so this can never happen again. I never want ANY images to zoom out on hover. Ever.

Also, is there any way to make one colum of a page "stick" to the top while the left part scrolls down, so it is always there in the right half?
