Hi there,

I'm excited to see that more members are creating eCommerce stores, and I want to add a useful tip for improving a site visitor's experience. Let's add some video!

How to Add Video to a Duda Native eCommerce Store πŸŽ₯

If you are a visual learner, check out my screen share here:

(I've included the steps below) 😊

Step 1: Find or create an embed code for the content

(e.g., copy the embed code from YouTube or if you are using a video you uploaded to the Duda site, use a standard iframe code)

Step 2: Create a plain text content block in the catalog.

Step 3: Add the link or source to the specific resource in the content block of the relevant product.

Step 4: Add an HTML widget to the product page in the editor.

Step 5: Paste the embed code into the HTML widget.

Step 6: Replace the source attribute value with the connected data value of the content block.

That's it! βœ…

Let me know if you have questions.

I'm trying something similar with Collections. When I add a video link to a collection it works great. However, I'm running into an issue. When there is no video for a collection row, I need the content block to hide or not show anything. Right now, without a video link present inside the content block it's showing a 404 page of the website. Not every collection will have a video so really need a solution. Thanks!

    Hi @Spencer_Burnside !

If you've added a video type field to a collection, it should not show for pages you didn't have a video to.

You should see an empty video/placeholder in the editor but in the live site you will not see anything.

If you are experiencing something else, I recommend reaching out to the support team for more help.

@Ofri_Baram I see now. The video type field does hide on the live site. Thank you!
