Setting Your Duda Website to 'Under Construction' Mode π§
Hello Duda Fam!
Sometimes you need to make some larger adjustments to a client website and don't want the current site information to be public. Luckily, there's an easy way to set a Duda website to "under construction". I'll walk you through them. ποΈ
How to set your Duda website to 'Under Construction' Mode π§
Step 1: Create a new page that will be your 'under construction' page; you can customize it the way you want.
Step 2: Set this new page as your Home page.
Step 3: Convert all other pages on your site to 'draft', under each pageβs settings. This will hide it from your visitors while you work on that new, revamped site.
Step 4: The easy one - republish your site!
Why would you need to do this?
- When significant changes or updates are being applied, like a complete redesign or restructuring of content. This helps prevent visitors from experiencing broken pages or features.
- During early development stages, or when security updates are being applied, limiting public access can protect sensitive data and prevent exposure to potential threats.
- If a website needs updates to comply with legal regulations (like privacy policies or accessibility standards), it can be temporarily put under construction to make necessary adjustments without risking non-compliance.
You could also use these steps to build anticipation for a new business or product launch, with different messaging like "coming soon" or a countdown to launch.
