Hello Duda Builders,

This is Ofri from Duda's Product team. I want to show you how to use your Duda site to sell tickets. This demo will be split into three parts, including…

  1. Adding the store to your site
  2. Designing your store pages
  3. Connecting all of your buttons to your store & getting it live

A key feature in online ticket purchasing is that the buyer should receive an email confirmation of the purchase, containing all essential details of the event - eg., date, time and venue, and other optional information that may be needed such as public transport and/or parking instructions. Right now, however, there seems to be no way to customise the confirmation email that the Duda Store sends out after a purchase - and the content of that email is quite minimal, mentioning only the NAME of the product/service purchased, and the price. That's it.

As a workaround, right now we have to put any essential info IN THE PRODUCT NAME, so it gets included and sent to the buyer in their confirmation email. So, for example, instead of having a ticket product with the name "VIP PASS", we'd have "VIP PASS - ABC Music Festival - Everest Base Camp, 30 Aug 2024, 5:00pm". It's not elegant, but it ensures that the buyer gets an email with the minimally required information…

There are a few issues already in Duda's Ideas Board that ask for a more robust solution to be added, allowing us to fully customise the emails within the store. If you want to help prioritise this, head on over there and vote!
