Verify your site ownership with Google & Bing

I'm very confused as to how to implement this and am hoping I can get step by step instructions from you guys/gals.

I see what Google is suggesting I do but it's on the Duda side that's confusing.

For example:

Other verification methods: 1. Copy the meta tag below, and paste it into your site's home page. It should go in the <head> section, before the first <body> section. 2. Click Verify below.

To stay verified, don't remove the meta tag, even after verification succeeds.

I HAVE NO CLUE as to where to get this done.

    In the left contextual menu bar of the editor there is a SETTINGS tab.

    If you click that, you can see an option for HEADER HTML

    Paste your code there, and republish the site.

    LEFT BAR > SETTING > HEADER HTML

    It says:

    HEAD HTML (not Header) and then I have two choices:

    Body end HTML

    Head HTML


    Please be more specific. Thanks so very much!!!!!

    My apologies on the header/head mixup. I normally use Dev Mode, and couldn't recall off the top of my head what it exactly said.

    The left menu is the menu running along (up and down) the LEFT of the screen when logged into the editor. It has the design tab, widgets tab etc).

    If the code is showing up like that on the editor, it's not being wrapped in the right HTML tag.

    It should look something like this. 

    <meta name="verify-v1" content="YOUR UNIQUE STRING HERE">

    Can you show me how you pasted the snippet into your head HTML?
