Thanks for the tag @Aj_Pfeil & @Sheyla for the invitation.

Well, I'm only 37/yo but I started web design when I had 15/yo so I can remember a few old website trends that I definitely don't want to hear back from them.

1- Adobe flash designs and navigation menu, flash images, etc... NO PLEASE, NO! LOL!!

2- The old school tables layout <TR><TD> and table shadows

3- All designs with marquee text (The only one CTA 😭😆)

4- Slow loading websites thanks to dial-up connections 😱

5- Old style popus that open in new resized browser windows 🤬🤣

I would like to know what think @Bruce_McCaughan about this discussion. I think he definitely have some funny experiences.

I remember when I had to connect to the internet and I clicked connect and then I was going to go prepare my breakfast until the connection was established lol!

And not to mention the busy phone line.

Hey guys sorry @Sheyla for late appearance - crazy busy day!

I would say fixed pixel width sites that didn't scroll. There are still some beauties out there that look like mini postcards on mobile!

I'll tag @Peter_Jones lets see if he's up for contributing!

the stock resoonse for broadband and other IT issues either at home or work; as widespread back in the day as it is now….”have you tried switching it on and off again” 😂

Joe public in the primeval days of internet, strengthening their witty and original password from “password” to “password1” 🙃

Thank you (?) @Pedro_Perez for tagging me. No pressure there :-)

I don't normally like these chain letters, but I am just superstitious enough that I won't break the chain :-)

Hmmm, most of the retro cheesy features have been well covered in the previous contributions. I dunno, but I am kind of nostalgic for the good ol' days. I mean, 15 or 20 years ago we could *easily control content display (start stop by date) with a bit of PHP code, or the CMS would enable us to easily do it. And auto-responders were an out-of-the-box feature for any simple web form.

We have come a long way in other areas, but also I pine for those days :-)

My apologies to @Paul_Lancieri as the rules dictate I pass the torch :-)
