How to Make Gallery Images Unclickable?

I'm a photographer with several image portfolios on my site. Currently all the images within each gallery widget are clickable, with each image opening in a new lightbox window at full display size, but I'd prefer that the images remain unclickable, with the only viewing option being within the complete gallery framework. This seems like it would be a very simple solution - even Chat GPT claims there's a option within the gallery/image editing sidebar to 'turn off lightbox option,' but I don't see anything. I have six galleries on my site containing over 150 images total, so I'm not interested in manually creating new galleries, adding each image one by one, framing it manually, etc. so that the images remain static/unclickable. Chat GPT suggested a CSS code that would make all gallery images unclickable site-wide, but I need my blog entries, which are also laid out in a similar format, to remain clickable, and I'm concerned that this solution would cause issues in other places as well. Any solutions/suggestions to remedy the situation would be greatly appreciated!!
