Can you hide a blog post?

Hello,

I'm making a blog to put contest rules and regulations, and I'd like to hide it from my published post. I want the page to be accessible, but not viewable on the homepage.

Is there a way or hack to keep posts published? One thought is making the publication date really old, but that experience isn't ideal.

    Like you said, making the date old is one option.

    If you are using tags, you could also do something with that.

    Does if have to be a "blog" page? You could do this with a standard Page and have more control over how it's accessed.

    Oh! great idea. Taking the page route. Easier to hide it that way

    Going to agree with @Bruce_McCaughan .. I would use a page as well.. Then you can remove it from the navigation, and hide it while it is still available as a live page.. You can also update the rules as often as you need and just republish that one page!
