Why does click to call button quit working on a computer

I have tested the click-to-call on my MacBook before and it worked fine. Then I went back later and the button just doesn't work at all. It works fine on a phone no matter how many times I click it.

Why does this happen?

    Does your computer have a Phone Calling App??? The button wont trigger a calling app if there is not one on the computer.

    Yes, it does. It works for some of the click to call texts and buttons but for some reason it quit working on the page for others.

    "Click to call" as a basic function is essentially a hack on desktop class computers. With enough work you can get it to work but what steps the user will need to go through will be completely dependent on how the user has implemented "phone service" on their computer.

    I've always treated "click to call" as a mobile only feature.
