When pressing a CTA button with a "Call to click" it opens up a target="_blank". Why?

As the question says. The button for a "Call to click" opens up a blank page just for calling up a number.

Is this an error or what's the meaning behind this? :-)

    A click to call button opens up the phone app on the mobile device.

    I can't speak to how it acts on a desktop as, well, I never have CTC buttons on the desktop as I believe clicking them indicates a call in stats despite the impossibility of making a call from a desktop.

    Not sure the exact issue you are having. Is it possible to provide a screencast of what is happening?
